This page describes, in summary, how UK Stocktakers uses the information you share when you contact us about stocktaking work.

UK Stocktakers is a trading name of Bucks Stocktakers Limited, company number 08681517.

Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form on this site, we collect the contact and job details you provide: your name, business name, phone number, email address, premises address, and the details you give about the stocktake you are asking us to carry out.
We also record how you say you found us, and technical source details of the visit (the page you sent the form from, your landing page, the referring site, and any campaign tags in the link you followed), so we can understand which marketing activity is working.
How your enquiry is handled
This website is a set of static pages. When you submit the enquiry form, the details are sent over HTTPS to a small serverless function (AWS Lambda) which validates them and passes them to Amazon SES, which delivers them as an email to our shared enquiries inbox (info@thestocktaker.co.uk). Adil reviews enquiries from that inbox and responds.
The website itself does not store your enquiry in a database. Once the email is sent, your details live in our normal email system, handled like any other business correspondence.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use analytics services, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies. Your browser may keep the landing page and campaign tags of your visit in its own session storage purely so the form can include them if you choose to send an enquiry; they are sent to us only when you submit the form.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a suitable quote.
- To plan and deliver stocktaking work if you go ahead.
- Internally, to understand where enquiries are coming from.
We do not publish your enquiry details or sell your information to third parties.
Lawful basis and retention
We use your details to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to take steps towards and perform a contract with you. We also have a legitimate interest in understanding where enquiries come from. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and our normal business records, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email info@thestocktaker.co.uk and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
